Xu Jiahao transmigrates into a parallel Hong Kong crime-film world and becomes an undercover cop from the start.
Well-versed in the rules for surviving Hong Kong's chaotic streets, he keeps a low profile, quietly building strength and playing the fool to catch his enemies off guard.
He had only wanted to stay under the radar and live in peace, but the times leave him no choice. In a chaotic age, ordinary people are never allowed to live in peace. The counterfeit-money case from A Better Tomorrow activates his System and brings his cautious life to an end.
From then on, Hong Kong has a new police officer: a madman who follows no rules.
While others smooth things over, rely on connections, and abide by unspoken rules, Xu Jiahao cares only about right and wrong, life and death. He is ruthless and decisive, and can handle both force and persuasion.
He recruits the fierce Ma Jun and the strategist Sung Tze-kit to form the strongest major-crimes squad;
He puts Big B in his place, keeps Lian Haolong in check, and takes on Big D, Crow, and a host of other gang leaders who have nothing to lose;
He tears apart corrupt cops, goes head-to-head with the ICAC, sweeps away top-tier criminals, and shatters decades of tacit understanding in Hong Kong's underworld.
He rises through the police ranks and wields immense power; both the criminal and legitimate worlds submit to him.
