[Mutual Firsts + Sweet Romance + Aloof Beauty + The Powerful One Bows His Head + Older Man]
At first: an irreverent woman + a very proper, secretly flirtatious man
No angst for the female lead; women are treated with respect.
Mai Sui had lived with her grandmother at the pear garden since she was ten.
Then one day, she overheard the eldest daughter of the Tang family planning to drug Zhou Xu'an.
Mai Sui made the boldest decision of her life.
With one chop to the neck, she knocked out Miss Tang, then climbed into Zhou Xu'an's bed herself.
That night, thunder rumbled, rain poured, and lightning flashed.
When Zhou Xu'an woke and realized he'd been set up, he searched everywhere for the culprit.
When he discovered it was the little girl he'd raised for ten years, he, who had always been so disciplined and proper, panicked.
From then on, he cherished her above all else.
Spoiling her every day, loving her every night.
Not cruel but very sweet 🤭
