A Single Thought to Cross the Dusty Fates

[Supernatural] [Tragic Romance] [Childhood Sweethearts] [Judge of the Underworld] [Mystery of Her Origins]

When she was six, she gave her only piece of candy to the unwanted boy sitting on the swing.

When she was eighteen, beneath the ginkgo tree, he promised they would face the future together. But she waited from daylight until late at night, and the boy never came.

Later, everyone told her he had gone abroad, with a bright future ahead of him, and had long since left her behind.

She swallowed her hurt and walked out of that hopeless period alone. She became a dazzling dancer and built a peaceful life with her daughter, Xiao Nian.

She thought their paths would never cross again.

Until an unexpected upheaval.

Late at night in the courtyard, the old swing no one ever touched began to sway gently on its own.

Until her six-year-old daughter pointed at the empty courtyard and said something she should not have known to say.

Until the man who had disappeared ten years ago stood before her again.

He is a judge of the underworld. She is alive.

He comes every night. She is there every night.

Is he human or a ghost? How long can he stay?

And why can her daughter see him?
