When he was seven, his sect was slaughtered overnight. Rescued and hidden away in a pawnshop in the south of Jinyun City, he spent seventeen years as the shopkeeper known as Ziyan.
Then a murder case brought his master's sword, Pei Xuanzhen's, into the shop, and he finally learned the truth:
The only person who could teach him the sword was the very person who had killed his entire family.
And the true culprit behind the massacre was buried even deeper.
Learn his enemy's sword, then kill his enemy's enemy. It was the only path he had had for seventeen years.
