With a Handful of Wild Herbs, a Five-Year-Old Healer Saves Her Soldier Dad

[Period Drama] [Adorable Child Searching for Family] [Miracle Doctor] [Military Life] [Face-Slapping] [Beloved by Everyone] [1980s]

When Yangyang was five, the old doctor who had raised her closed his eyes for the last time.

With half of a broken copper longevity lock tucked in her arms, Yangyang walked barefoot out of the mountains.

The old man had told her that her biological father had the other half of the lock.

Her father was a demobilized cadre living in a city compound.

But when Yangyang reached the compound gates, the guards stopped her from entering. Distant relatives called her dirty and laughed at her country ways, saying she was just a wild girl come to sponge off them.

Yangyang wasn't worried.

She could identify three hundred kinds of medicinal herbs and distinguish the twelve meridians by feeling a pulse.

A man in the compound walked with a limp. The military doctor had judged that his old injuries could only be managed, not healed.

Yangyang saw through it at a glance: it wasn't that they couldn't be healed. The stagnant toxins hadn't been cleared out.

After three doses of her homemade remedy, the old injuries that had plagued the man for eight years improved dramatically.

The two halves of the copper lock fit together perfectly.

"You're the daughter I've been searching for for five years."

The distant relatives panicked. They tripped her up, ruined her medicinal herbs, and spread lies...

Yangyang blinks. When you were plotting against me, did you forget that I can even treat venomous snakes in the mountains?

This time, no one can bully her, because her father protects his little girl without hesitation.
