No Rank or Office, Yet I'm Zhu Yuanzhang's Top Strategist

No System, no transmigration, and no one to give him answers.

People of flesh and blood can weep bitterly, and they can also be ruthless killers.

He devoted his whole life to researching mathematics and natural philosophy, dismissed by the world as bizarre and lascivious arts. He was the son of a strange "scholar".

A man with no official post or salary.

He taught the princes, balanced the emperor's accounts, and cured the ills of the dynasty.

He killed Hu Weiyong, reformed the salt administration, wiped out Japanese pirates, pacified the grasslands, established government schools, and opened routes to the Western Regions.

He was the Ming Dynasty's invisible man, and someone Zhu Yuanzhang said he could never repay. The day his achievements could no longer be kept secret, the emperor personally ennobled him as a prince of a different surname and granted him a place in the Imperial Ancestral Temple.

He declined the title of prince three times, asking only for one thing: that his father be posthumously honored as "Master Wenhui."

Years later, a memorial tablet was added to the Imperial Ancestral Temple. It bore no official title or princely rank, only a single line:

"The seat of Shen Mo, commoner strategist of the Great Ming."
