Something Is Off with the Xie Family's Accounts

[Marriage First, Love Later x Married Couple Solve Cases] Xie Ling stayed up all night reading a novel, then woke up transmigrated as the legitimate daughter of the Xie family. Her birth mother had died young, her stepmother was loving, and her father was a Vice Minister of Revenue. Her family was rich and powerful.

She thought she'd gotten a household-intrigue plot, until she found a charred scrap of paper in a gap between the rocks in a rock garden, leading her to an earth-shattering secret.

In her previous life, Xie Ling was an auditor, skilled at spotting the one figure that didn't add up in seemingly perfect accounts. Using memory loss from an illness as a cover, she secretly investigated the books, only to run into someone else investigating a case: Pei Yan, heir to the Marquis of Jing'an and Vice Minister of the Court of Judicial Review, a cold and ruthless man.

An imperial edict of marriage bound the two together as husband and wife. On their wedding night, they laid down three rules: investigate their own cases and stay out of each other's way.

She thought she was investigating accounts, but later realized she was investigating people.

The Xie family's accounts, the court's accounts, and the accounts of people's hearts: every last one had to add up.
