Bear Bro's Paranormal Investigation Agency 2

Bear Bro's Paranormal Investigation Office 2 is the sequel to Bear Bro's Paranormal Investigation Office. It continues the immersive first-person narration, combining real-world crimes with folk tales of the uncanny, and focuses on psychological horror grounded in realism.

The Paranormal Investigation Office never runs out of cases. A missing-girl case sets the story in motion. Someone steals a dead person's account and uses it to pose as them online, carefully luring unsuspecting users into a trap. During a succession of rainy nights, a series of murders grips the city, with the killer targeting people walking alone after dark. A little shop in a remote town, always packed with diners, conceals a chilling secret. Construction workers unearth an ancient corpse sealed away for years, and long-buried events awaken with it. The group ventures deep into the mountains to the tomb of an imperial consort, where an ancient curse and deadly traps strike one after another. In a remote mountain village, eerie legends have been passed down through generations, and strange incidents occur one after another. Every bit of strangeness stems from old crimes the village has deliberately covered up.

The protagonist, Bear Bro, has no supernatural powers or magic. He goes to crime scenes and eerie locations one after another, relying on interviews, evidence, attention to detail, and logical deduction to tear away disguises and uncover the truth buried behind each strange case. The story avoids sudden jump scares, instead building an oppressive, bone-chilling atmosphere. The horror isn't just supernatural phenomena; more often, it's the malice growing beneath ordinary human skin.

Each arc presents a new mystery, and independent cases conceal long-term clues. The further you read, the more you'll sense a larger undercurrent hidden behind all the events. Readers who enjoy folk mysteries, crime thrillers, and stories that grow more terrifying the more you think about them shouldn't miss this.
