Timeline: One year before Chongzhen's death

Location: Outside the capital

Lin Yanzhou, a history-comedy blogger from a later era, is hurled onto a battlefield at the end of the Ming dynasty by the aftershock of a bolt of lightning that struck across time. From the start, his parents are dead and his elder brother has fallen in battle. Now he is the backbone of the Shandong relief army, but what can he do to save Emperor Chongzhen? Besides, why would he save him?

The Qing army is certainly detestable, but the Ming dynasty at this point is even more rotten to the core and sickening! Now that he's here, how could he obediently play the loyal subject and filial son? Let it all burn!
