War of Resistance: Going Undercover in Shanghai With Google Maps

In the twenty-sixth year of the Republic, China was defeated in the Battle of Shanghai, leaving the city isolated.

Modern office worker Lin Mo transmigrated and became cannon fodder in the Fuxing Society. Just as a traitor leaked their secrets and their contact point was surrounded, he awakened a golden finger: Gaode Maps. A unique light screen spread out over every street and alley in the city, allowing him to plan escape routes and marking enemies, neutrals, and allies with red, yellow, and green dots. It saved his life time and again.

But since he always put survival first and refused to charge headlong into certain death, the Fuxing Society's higher-ups suspected him of defecting and abandoned him outright.

With nowhere else to turn, Lin Mo simply infiltrated the Japanese puppet regime's secret service, deliberately pretending to be a greedy, lecherous, self-serving scoundrel.

Intelligence, medicine, weapons, passes: as long as the price was high enough, he would do business with the Military Statistics Bureau, the underground Communist Party, and merchants from every faction.

In the eyes of outsiders, he was Shanghai's infamous traitorous profiteer. Only Lin Mo knew that behind this disguise, he used the map to warn him of danger, secretly prioritized supporting his own side, and stirred up the power struggles between all the factions.

On Shanghai, an isolated island full of deadly threats, he dealt with Japanese probes and infighting among traitors while navigating the gaps between competing forces. In his own unusual way, he quietly protected his country in these chaotic times. A lighthearted, funny spy story about laying low undercover, with one twist after another.
