I Took My Space to the Battlefield, and a Four-Year-Old Cutie Fed the Fallen Heroes

Four-year-old Tangbao burst into tears because there was no internet at her great-grandfather's house. Trembling, her great-grandfather pointed at a yellowed photograph on the wall and said, "Back in your great-great-grandfather's day, they couldn't even get enough to eat."

That night, Tangbao had a very, very long dream.

She dreamed she had become a tiny point of light, drifting into an era where everyone was hungry.

In her dream, there was a boy soldier so thin he was skin and bones, but his eyes shone like stars. She called him "Brother Bones."

Tangbao secretly slipped him her snacks and hid sweet potatoes and potatoes from her great-grandfather's home in her schoolbag.

She thought it was only a dream, until she saw the yellowed photograph in an old frame at her great-grandfather's house. The boy in the picture had the exact same eyes as "Brother Bones."

And her great-grandfather told her that the boy was his father, who had never come back after he was three years old.
