I Took This Name, So Why Should I Wear This Uniform?

[Hardcore crime investigation] [Anti-corruption and gang crackdowns] [Military special operations] [Realistic revenge]

The case of a high school girl who jumped to her death tore open a corner of the criminal underworld in Hanjiang City. Liu Cangfeng, deputy head of the criminal investigation unit, was framed by his superiors as a drunk driver who had killed someone after he refused to let go of crucial evidence at the crime scene. In an instant, he became a fugitive hunted across the city. Facing the desperate onslaught of both the underworld and law enforcement, he relied on the extraordinary tactical analysis skills of an elite special forces soldier to launch a lone counterattack through dark alleys.

But the price of getting closer to the truth was paid in blood. After painstakingly uncovering the secret network linking the Haolong Group to corrupt officials, Liu Cangfeng's beloved, police officer Li Xiaoxia, was brutally tortured to death. His immense grief tore through his procedural limits. He became a cold-blooded reaper and, following the drug network, was forced to flee to the Golden Triangle in northern Myanmar. There, he survived among more than ten thousand armed drug traffickers and lay low until he became a key figure in an undercover operation.

In the deadly rainforests of the Golden Triangle, Liu Cangfeng unexpectedly formed a desperate alliance with an undercover agent. Together, they fought their way through hellish telecom-fraud dungeons, surviving one brush with death after another.

In the end, Liu Cangfeng returned to Hanjiang with hostages and ironclad evidence bought with blood and tears.

In the torrential rain, Liu Cangfeng stood on crutches before Xiaoxia's grave and burned the paper offerings. The sword-wielding reaper who had once cleaved open the night finally fell silent amid tears of hope and pain.
