Sixteen and Fighting for My Life to Survive Palace Horror Stories

In the harem of the Great Qian Dynasty, all thirty-three rules can kill. On her first night in the palace, palace maid Xie Mingwei discovers that the servants walk without their feet touching the ground, Consort Hua, dead for three months, has melted into a puddle, and the rules bear traces of tampering hidden between the lines. By nature, she can see the rules' "original text." While everyone else struggles to obey the rules, she uses them to kill: the maidens who framed her, the consort who ruined her future, even the monster seated in the central palace, none could make her turn back. Then she opens the bloodstained letter her older sister left behind. It contains only half a poem and one bone-chilling line: scattered throughout this palace are a hundred hidden rules her sister wrote by "taking herself apart." And the one who wrote the rules is waiting deep inside the sacrificial altar: "Xiaoman, come bring your sister home."
