[High IQ + Infinite Survival + Ruthless and Decisive + Containing the Divine + No Harem]
Just after the execution ground claims the life of Lin Ye, an eighteen-year-old death-row inmate, he is dragged into the Death Gaokao, an exam with a 99% elimination rate.
First exam: The Origins of the Divine.
While the other candidates are still being slaughtered by fish-headed mutants and desperately searching for a way out, Lin Ye follows a few clues and fights his way into the lowest level of a biolab.
"The gods don't save people because the gods have already become specimens in a petri dish."
After Lin Ye personally dissects the final boss and earns an unprecedented "SSS-Rank Beyond-the-Syllabus Score" when he turns in his exam, the entire Death Exam realm shakes!
[Ding! Candidate Lin Ye has triggered the one and only hidden authorization and obtained the transcendent talent: Omniscient Scale!]
Others trade their points for a box of painkillers. He uses his to redeem an "Ancient God Sequence";
others cling to life in eerie instances. He flips over the exam desk and turns the proctor into a specimen.
"This isn't an exam at all. It's a selection for the divine throne, and I... am the only one grading it!"
