Knowingly Crossing the Line: My Uncle Hid Me Away for Seven Years

To save her father, who was wrongly imprisoned, Wen Shiyu signs a wedding contract meant to bring good fortune and marries into Prince Jing's household.

On their wedding night, the prince, confined to his sickbed, never appears. The one who takes his place to perform the wedding rites and lift her veil is his seemingly dissolute sworn younger brother, Yan Chi.

The entire capital says that Seventh Young Master Yan is Prince Jing's dog. Only Wen Shiyu knows that he will shield her from an arrow on a snowy night, kneel until his body is bruised to defy every rule for her, and keep close to his heart the medicine pouch she casually gave him seven years ago.

She pretends not to see the look in his eyes. He pretends to think of her only as his sister-in-law.

Until the entire Wen family is sentenced to execution, and she drinks poisoned wine and "dies of illness." Yan Chi, always so composed, storms through the gates of the prince's residence with his sword, his voice hoarse. "Wen Shiyu, when you saved me, you never said I'd have to keep this damned etiquette."

But he doesn't know that she never died. She's returned to make Prince Jing pay for his blood debt.

And she doesn't know that the person she most wants to see when her coffin is opened that night is him.
