[Urban Fantasy] [Sweet Romance] [Healing Slice of Life] [Beast-Eared Girl] [1v1]
[No System, No Rebirth, No Harem, No Power Creep]
On his way home from school during his final year of high school, Lin Yan found an injured little golden fox.
That very night, the ball of golden fur transformed right before his eyes into a girl with golden hair, golden eyes, and two upright fox ears.
She couldn't speak or use chopsticks, and he even had to teach her how to use the bathroom.
She would crouch on the ground and watch ants carry things for half an hour, pull out tissues and fold them into a pile on the table, and take hundreds of blurry photos where nothing could be made out.
She would curl up beside him and fall asleep while he worked on practice problems, her tail resting on his wrist.
When his teleportation went out of control, she would gently hold his hand and say, "Don't be afraid. I'm here."
Lin Yan: "...Fine. I'll keep her."
And so an orphaned high school senior and a little fox who had just taken human form began a chaotic yet heartwarming life together.
Learning to talk, write, get dressed, and cross the street.
Shopping for clothes and swimsuits, going to the beach, and setting off fireworks.
Starting at a new school, everyday life as deskmates, tackling senior-year practice problems, and preparing for final exams.
But sometimes Lin Yan wondered...
Who was she, really?
What was behind the wooden door that had remained shut for years, deep in the old alley?
Where would the increasingly distinct spatial rift in his palm take him?
(A friendly reminder: This is a slice-of-life story. Slice of life, slice of life! Important things are said three times. No System, no rebirth, no harem, no power creep. Just the ordinary days of a person and a fox. Sweet and warm, with the occasional little mystery.)
