You're Supposed to Tame Beasts, So Why Are You Being Tamed by a Dragon Girl?

Lin Du was a beast tamer, and somehow ended up giving himself away.

When he carried that salted duck egg onto the contract platform,

The whole academy waited to laugh at him. A genius who'd awakened the S-rank talent “Affinity for All Spirits,” and this was the pickled thing he was stuck with?

Then the hatchery's roof was blown clean off.

A silver-haired dragon girl stepped out of a pillar of light.

One glance from her forced every spirit beast in the crowd to the ground.

Then she walked up to him, bent down, and licked his face.

“Not bad. You... might do.”

“My name is Ao Lier, but I don't want to be your spirit beast, ”

“So you'll become my spirit beast instead.”

The contract array reversed.

For the first time in a thousand years, a spirit beast had contracted a human!

And so Lin Du's contract panel showed just one line:

Insufficient permissions. Final say belongs to Ao Lier.

Fireball, Dragon Scale Armor, Dragon's Might, Dragon Transformation, Silver Dragon Spear...

Every bit of power had to be pried from the claws of this dragon mistress.

And her true identity was the princess of the Dragon Clan.

Her origin and physical body were incompatible. The day she came of age would be the day her soul scattered and vanished.

Her only chance of survival was to acknowledge a human as her master.

So from beginning to end, he hadn't found some priceless ancestral treasure. At the brink of death, she had chosen the one destined for her.
