Su Yuan died of hunger.
Just before she died, a System asked her: “Transmigrate to small worlds and complete missions. You’ll get money, good health, and youth.”
Her eyes turned green with hunger. “Do I get meals?”
System: “Of course, of course.”
And so she became the first person in transmigration history, assigned the number zero.
Thousands of years later, headquarters expanded its hiring and scoured the worlds for recruits. The rookies kept making mistakes, and the complaints piled up. Her old boss hauled her into the newly established Evaluation Department and handed her a plot-altering bangle and a Magistrate’s Seal. She was to enter the same instances as the rookies and test them.
On her first day at work, Su Yuan was already at a loss:
The evaluator transmigrated into a wicked consort, with a death sentence from the start.
The plot had gone completely off the rails.
It couldn’t be fixed. There was just no fixing it.
Su Yuan held the Magistrate’s Seal and fell into thought: I’m an evaluator, so why does everyone keep trying to seduce me?
Only later did she learn the truth.
Some fool had taken his own soul apart
waiting for her, searching for the pieces one by one.
