The first time Xu Yingqiao noticed Chen Yuchuan was when he picked up her sketchbook and said that she had drawn the light outside the window. She wanted to take her own path in painting, and he was used to calculating life clearly.
The two people went from high school classrooms to different universities, experienced different places, graduation choices, career ups and downs and adult life, and learned again and again how to put each other into their futures. They have always walked on their own chosen paths, and in the long and ordinary years, they have become the light that allows each other to see the direction home.
