The village medium said I was born under an ill-fated star, destined to bring misfortune to my family and die young. The only way to escape my death was to form a spiritual bond with an immortal.

I didn't believe her. But to earn money for my grandma's medical bills, I helped the medium with an errand. I never expected to come home with a snake husband!

He's handsome and powerful, and though he's a demon, he has already cultivated a divine nature.

But there's no way a human and a demon can be together. I hated this marriage and wanted to call it off.

Then the medium's words came true. My destined death arrived, and when I was on the brink of death, my snake husband appeared in time to save my life.

From then on,

I traveled between the worlds of the living and the dead with him, earning merit to prolong my life. Before I knew it, I had fallen for him under his constant care.

But he's cold and mysterious, and rarely opens up to me. The distance between us keeps changing, sometimes close and sometimes far. I pessimistically believe that our unusual bond is just a mutually beneficial arrangement, and that one day we'll go our separate ways.
