During the Xining period of the Song Dynasty, it was a period of great turning point in Chinese history. Shen Ke, a young manager in Bianjing, joined the army. He did not believe in ghosts and gods, but only believed that everything in the world had a "reason". He organized his own "Ge Wu Tang": doctors examine corpses and identify poisons, warriors chase murderers with swords, and solve various strange and mysterious cases. From the fox fairies in the streets, to the blood jade in Luoyang, to the salt roads, border troops, and palace walls, a huge network spanning decades is uncovered layer by layer.
Keli has never been a thing of any dynasty. From Bianjing in the Northern Song Dynasty to Lin'an after crossing to the south; from the prosperous age of flowers and brocades to the beacon of war - things and people have changed, dynasties have changed, but only these four words "to prove the Tao with reason" have been passed down from generation to generation.
The Manichean conspiracy, the strife in the court, the war at the border, and the fires that burned the truth, have all been run over by the wheel of time. But the fire of Gewutang was burning stronger and brighter among the ruins. Because as long as there is one person who is persistent in pursuing the truth, the laws of the Song Dynasty will not be broken.
The principle is not extinguished and the fire never ceases.
