This world is far from peaceful.

In 1954, the first monster, codenamed Godzilla, came ashore in Tokyo Bay, Japan. From then on, the world entered an era later known as the Age of Frequent Monster Sightings.

At the same time, as humanity explored and developed space, extraterrestrial life, once thought to exist only in people's imaginations, began visiting Earth. Their reasons for contacting humanity varied. Some came with good intentions, while others... had ulterior motives.

However, none of that had anything directly to do with Yue Wumeng. Though he was a member of TDC, Earth's defense organization, his job wasn't to fight on the front lines. He cooked in the mess hall.

Yue Wumeng thought his life would carry on like this until retirement, right up until the day he met a mysterious girl from thirty million years ago.

"Wumeng, you are the chosen one," said the girl named You Ling.

Yue Wumeng inherited from her the power of the Giant of Light known as Trigger. He fought enemies who threatened the peace while doing his best to maintain a quiet everyday life. But gradually, he began to realize something was off.

"...Wait, why are there more and more girls around me? Nobody told me this would happen before I became Ultraman!"
