Synopsis

My name is Yuan Feng, and everyone at the police station agrees I'm a good-for-nothing. I do the hardest work and take the blame for the worst messes. I thought I'd spend my whole life being a pushover, until a gang of robbers took me hostage and a broken dagger slashed my neck.

Well, would you look at that: I transformed. I grew wings and two huge fangs.

From then on, my life was like I had cheat codes turned on.

When I took on the gangsters, I made them kneel and sing "I Surrender."

I punched the Ghost King, and he immediately acknowledged me as his big brother.

I crushed an evil supernatural cult, and they declared that I was the real god.

The famous police duo, crime bosses, foreign ninjas: next to me, they're all little brothers. I'm not just going to be the toughest cop in all of Nangang. I'm going to be the Zombie Emperor, the one every demon and monster has to steer clear of.

Tomato Novel Has Had so Many Great New Releases Lately, but the Word Counts...

Lately, Tomato Books keeps recommending stories that update constantly, then after a while there's another new book with only a hundred-odd thousand words, but plenty of readers. They all seem pretty good, too, but just when you get really interested, the story ends…

Looking for a Truly Satisfying Story With Swift, Decisive Face-Slapping

Preferably no CP, and I don’t mean no fixed pairing. A truly no-CP story has no romance or even flirtation at all, like An Qiao, Ning Shu, or Chi Qiao. If there is a CP, I hope the other person barely features. No romance, please, like in The Female Sword Cultivator Qisha.

It doesn’t matter whether there’s a national organization involved. As long as the protagonist isn’t a bleeding-heart saint and has a functioning brain, that’s enough.

Any Modern Urban Fantasy Stories with Superpowers?

I noticed that when you search for urban supernatural powers on Tomato Novel, everything is about the apocalypse, spiritual qi revival, and monsters invading. Just because Selling Great Strength and Slime became popular, does every novel have to follow the same formula? I miss Paper God, which was purely about supernatural battles, and Blue and White Society, which was full of wildly imaginative ideas.
