Zhang Haiyue: An orphan of a troubled era, adopted by Zhang Haiqi alongside Zhang Haixia and Zhang Hailou. He has no orthodox Qilin bloodline and bears a Qiongqi tattoo. A top-tier fighter, he excels at close combat, underwater operations, and reconstructing events from traces. Cold on the outside, perceptive, and taciturn, he cares deeply about family. He harbors profound feelings for Haixia but keeps them hidden. Whatever happens, he always stands by his companions and never blindly follows the Zhang family's doctrines. He carries two short shark-tooth blades.
Zhang Haixia: An A-grade agent. Gifted with an exceptional sense of smell, he is meticulous and skilled at planning and decoding clues. Slender and refined in appearance, he bears immense psychological pressure within and is accustomed to shouldering every danger alone. In the original story, he is poisoned by Twilight Grass at the Pan Hua Sea Reef, giving rise to a dark personality called Black Shrimp. In the end, he breaks free of the poison's hold and finds a happy ending.
