[Western Fantasy Adventure + Code-Based Spellcasting + A Touch of Lovecraftian Horror]
After working overtime until 11:17 p.m., Lin Chuan’s powered-off computer suddenly displayed: `connection established`.
When he opened his eyes again, his left hand was growing back out of thin air. A monster crawling out of a dead tree was growing a face that looked just like his.
A line of code appeared in his mind: death_lightning(target, 5). Five bolts of lightning smashed the monster to pieces.
An even stronger monster lunged at him. Lin Chuan summoned several tracking meteors and pierced it through.
He thought he’d arrived in another world, where he could finally “write whatever magic he wanted as code.”
The next moment, a giant snake with a grotesquely distorted human face dragged a huge sword out of the ground. With death closing in, all he could grasp was a single command: quit().
And he really did quit the World Erosion.
From then on, ls let him read the state of all things, ps showed him magic processes, and kill forcibly interrupted spells. Other people had to chant to cast fireballs; he could call one up. Others had to train relentlessly to strengthen their magic; he only needed to find the parameter he could change.
But why did this world respond to his code? Why was his phone always stuck at 11:17 p.m.? And what was that face in the World Erosion, learning to smile just like him?
