【Light horror + ghost-catching + strange tales + mystery + infinite flow + comedy】
The story takes place in a world where ghosts fly about everywhere. Because her mischievous older brother got up to trouble, the protagonist, Heibai, was tossed into the human world. For a poor ghost like her, this was completely unfair.
But her older brother is just that mischievous.
She has to complete a full 1,000 ghost-catching jobs before she can return to the Hundred Ghost Shrine, the underworld.
While out catching ghosts, she somehow ran into (crossed out) met an app called “Ghost Law.” Then, somehow, she joined the Soul-Hunting Police Bureau.
And eventually became one of the best in the business.
(What a clichéd wish-fulfillment plot.)
Here is the Soul-Hunting Police Bureau's promotional slogan:
(The Grim Reaper has arrived, and the Soul-Hunting Police Bureau is rising! The Grim Reaper is here! Now we'll have justice!)
I, Heibai, a ghost officer! I'm here for only three things!
Making money, making money, and, well, making money!
Look, my brother and I have a ghost accomplice, a golden finger, and plenty of summons! Can't we make money without breaking a sweat?
The wind rises, clouds surge across the sky. Where can we find ghost officers to roam the four corners of the world?
(Hey, are you in this photo?)
Yeah. Back then, we were still skinny, and we weren't ghost officers.
(That's what I call not being you!)
You're saying that isn't us?
(No!)
I'm telling you, this is totally us!
