The Puppet Master's Bureau

Fifteen years after the Yan Master lineage was wiped out, its last heir, Mo Yan, roams the martial world, making a living with his craft: building mechanical puppets and controlling them with strings. When a puppet wields a blade, he throws punches, letting one man fight like two.

That is, until a "corpse" drifts down the canal. It isn't human. It's made of wood.

It uses the strings of his master's lineage and follows their wiring patterns.

Someone is mass-producing "fake people" out in the world, replacing the living and infiltrating the Canal Gang, the Poison Hand Sect, the Swordforge Manor, and even... the imperial court's Jing'an Office.

Before everyone becomes a puppet, Mo Yan must find the one pulling the strings.
