[One-on-one | Happy ending | Urban fantasy | Nonhuman]
A stranded, down-and-out interstellar male lead x a softhearted heroine dodging her father's debts. A healing, funny urban romance about everyday life.
(The male lead is sweet and a little clueless, but not stupid.)
Lin Yan picked up an alien who had accidentally crash-landed on Blue Star while she was on the run from debt collectors.
Saving him was one thing, but this guy clung to her shamelessly and wouldn't stop following her.
"Hey, stop following me. I really can't afford to feed you."
"Ah, ah..."
Damn it, he was mute too!
What was she supposed to do?
Dump him?
His injuries hadn't healed, and he'd been beaten up by some thugs. She couldn't bring herself to do it.
Call the police?
No way. It would expose her whereabouts, and she wouldn't be able to dodge the debt collectors. That would just mean more trouble.
Then she'd have to take him along!
He was obedient and well-behaved, and at least he was an alien with a few special skills.
And so the two of them relied on each other, fleeing to a big city to scrape by.
But living with an alien meant a major disaster waiting to happen every day.
At her wits' end, Lin Yan could only leave a humiliating note when ordering takeout:
My little brother is an idiot. Please call out to him a few times. If he doesn't open the door, tell him Lin Yan ordered the food for him.
The man mastered the written language of Huaguo in just one morning. He stared at those words, lost in thought.
Little brother... idiot... Is that me?
One of them was devoted to repairing his spaceship, eager to return to his home planet and save it.
The other only wanted a steady job and an ordinary, peaceful life.
With completely different goals, they lived under the same roof, spending their days together until their feelings gradually blossomed...
Lin Yan shyly closed her eyes and leaned in to kiss him, but the man raised his hand and tugged off her lips.
"You idiot!" Lin Yan angrily wiped away the blood with a tissue and turned back to her room.
The man blinked. Why was she angry again?
