Your Majesty, the Noble Consort Is Causing Trouble Again

Lu Zhi, an interior designer, was sent away by a broken window.

When she opened her eyes again, she'd become a princess sent west to marry into the Central Plains. She was on her way there and had just failed at suicide. She tried to escape, climbed a tree, and was surrounded. The man below, seated on his horse, had the face of her most difficult client in her previous life, Fu Yanchen.

She blurted out, "You fucking died too?"

He raised an eyebrow. "You up there. Get down."

After entering the palace, she was made a Noble Consort and given the most remote, cold palace to live in. She measured rooms, drew up plans, and renovated the rundown courtyard into the imperial harem's hottest check-in spot. She made skewers and hotpot, turning the concubines into a foodie club. On the night he summoned her, she slept so soundly she snored. He secretly kissed her forehead, and the next day an imperial decree spread through the six palaces, bearing four gilded characters: "Rewarded for a successful night."

From "Stay away from me" to "I'll go out of the palace incognito with you," and then to "Are you really so unwilling to let me stay?" The dog emperor had fallen for her so completely that the whole palace could see it, but he stubbornly refused to admit it.

[Extra Scene]

A carrier pigeon from the Western Regions arrived with a message: Any news?

Lu Zhi replied: The emperor is handsome, in great shape, eats regularly, and keeps a healthy schedule.

The letter was intercepted. That night, twenty dishes from the imperial kitchen were carried into Changle Palace, along with an imperial message: "The Noble Consort has good taste."
