Honghuang: I Betray My Sect from the Start and Carry the Western Teachings to Victory

Gu Changqing transmigrates into the Primordial World and becomes an Innate Geng Metal sword bamboo.

With the Investiture of the Gods approaching, he witnesses fellow bamboo being slaughtered by Jie Sect immortals and forged into magical artifacts.

By the usual script, he should go to Biyou Palace, plead his case, join the Jie Sect, and defy fate to change his destiny, right?

Gu Changqing sneers. "The Jie Sect will be wiped out after the Myriad Immortals Formation. Going there now would be suicide!"

Knowing how arrogant the beings of the East are and how doomed the Jie Sect is, he makes a decision that defies all conventional wisdom in the Primordial World: he grabs his things and flees overnight, seeking refuge with the most barren and understaffed Western Teachings!

"The East has drained us dry, so don't blame me for poaching their people!"

Jieyin and Zhunti are overjoyed. "Now that Changqing has joined us, the West is destined to prosper! The position of Third Sect Master is yours and yours alone!"

From then on, the Primordial World gains a ruthless, profit-seeking Third Sect Master of the Western Teachings.

With his System, he turns the Three Xiao against their own side, tricks Zhao Gongming, plunders the Golden Immortals of the Chan Sect, and squeezes every last benefit from the Heavenly Court.

Sect Master Tongtian breaks down. "He actually emptied the entire foundation of my Jie Sect?"

Yuanshi Tianzun spits blood. "Shameless Gu Changqing, give me back the magical treasures of the Twelve Golden Immortals!"

As the great calamity of the Investiture of the Gods descends, Gu Changqing sits on the Twelve-Grade Lotus Platform, smiling as he watches the Eastern sects tear each other apart. "Fellow Daoists, your spiritual treasures and disciples are all destined to join the West!"
