Mr. Wen Won't Compromise Today

Wen Xinran is widely recognized as a master in the architectural design world.

She poured her heart and soul into refining the legendary "Galaxy" proposal. Just as it was poised for success, her direct supervisor maliciously changed the name on it and handed it to a well-connected favorite.

When she was consumed by resentment and hurt, the mentor who had nurtured her for years offered only a casual remark: "Young people need to keep the bigger picture in mind."

In that moment, the professional ideals and mentor-student bond she'd held onto for years shattered completely.

She neither argued nor fought back. She resigned in silence and left with her head held high.

A year later, bids open for a major, high-profile project in the industry.

Wen Xinran, once a designer everyone looked down on and pushed around at will, sits firmly in the center of the client's judging panel, with the power to decide everyone's fate in her hands.

Her former employer makes a grand entrance with a proposal cobbled together from plagiarized work, copying her old ideas, and is certain of victory.

Onstage, Wen Xinran remains composed and unsmiling. She methodically picks apart the flaws, cites industry technical standards, and rejects each point in public without yielding an inch.

The leader who once suppressed her is furious and publicly accuses her of deliberately making things difficult.

Seated high above, Wen Xinran's gaze is cool and her presence commanding. Her words ring out, one by one: "You used to make the rules. Now it's my turn."

Everyone thinks she's a rising powerhouse who finally gained the upper hand and is enjoying her revenge.

No one knows the two astonishing secrets she keeps hidden.

She is the secret illegitimate daughter whom Fu Yubo, a master of architecture, has kept hidden for over twenty years and never publicly acknowledged.

Nor does anyone know that the man who drew her into the heart of the game and helped her turn the tables against the odds, Ye Anche, understood her entire past and every moment of her vulnerability from their very first meeting. He laid his plans one step at a time, fell deeper with every move, and was the first to lose his heart in this game of strategy.
