The Whole Capital Waits for Me to Kill Them, but I Turn Around and Subdue a Hundred Ghosts

[Romance Pairing + Metaphysics + Ghost Hunting + Entirely Fictional]

Shengjing City has two notorious harbingers of death: Prince Le'an, who has outlived six wives, and the orphaned daughter of the Su family, who supposedly brought about the deaths of her entire family as a child.

An imperial edict pairs the two, and the whole capital starts betting on who will kill the other first.

Nanny Wu is so worried she cries, but Su Mingqi's eyes light up. A body of pure yin, surrounded by hundreds of ghosts: how is this a harbinger of death? She's clearly a walking storehouse of merit!

By day, she fixes the geomancy of the prince's manor. By night, she clears out the manor's stock of malicious ghosts, and looks into the truth behind her mother's death in childbirth, which took two lives.

For others, marrying a prince is a death sentence. For her, it's a chance to rack up merit and fortune.

A red-clad vengeful ghost? Captured.

A hundred baleful spirits forming a ghost infant? Seized.

A trapped yin-energy formation? Broken.

The prince's manor hasn't seen sunlight in a hundred years? She waves her hand, and the sunset fills the courtyard.

It isn't until one day when Xiao Yunche catches her collecting debts from thin air that he realizes his bride isn't some frail orphan. She's a metaphysical master walking among the living.

"Your Highness, you've collected so many ghosts. When will you collect me?"
