A sudden, inexplicable "sinkhole" disaster sent an entire university, along with the ground beneath it, plunging into a primeval forest that blocked out the sky.
Monsters roamed, screams filled the air. The once-peaceful ivory tower instantly became a slaughterhouse of blood and gore, and the survivors could only struggle in despair amid the pools of blood.
His close friend was gravely wounded and on the verge of death. His childhood friend, Chen Yu, wept in despair.
Lai Yasi's ribs pierced his lung. As he choked on his final breaths, a line of icy, blood-red text suddenly appeared on his retina:

While others screamed in terror and waited to die, he hunted furiously amid the blood and gore.
When he fought his way through the encirclement, stepping over heaps of monster corpses, he thought dawn was finally near. Then he suddenly discovered the most chilling truth of all: this bizarre world was merely a "slaughterhouse" where higher-dimensional beings raised creatures to fight one another.
And all of humanity was nothing but livestock kept in pens, ready to be harvested at any moment.
