This Lord Is a Bit of a Scoundrel

This is the story of a lord who uses a little map to find bargains, cheat people, and round up forced laborers in the frontier wilderness.

Skill One: Tell friend from foe. His stepmother and older brother have heads that shine black as night.

Skill Two: Chart the way. Everywhere he hasn't been is covered in fog.

Skill Three: A potential radar. Magical geniuses are marked with gold dots.

Lin En's philosophy as a lord is simple.

If you can trick them into coming over, don't take them by force. If they can work, don't kill them. If you can avoid paying wages, absolutely don't pay.

Conscience is something you only need to bring out and air from time to time.
