A Happy Season That Lasts for Years

[Two Male Leads | Sang Yan x Duan Jiaxu | Parallel AU to the Original]

At Nanwu University, everyone envies Sang Yan and Duan Jiaxu, the best of friends.

Sang Yan is brash and unruly, with a prickly temper. He's cold and distant toward everyone else, but gives all his favoritism and protectiveness to Duan Jiaxu.

Duan Jiaxu has a gentle face and an easygoing smile, but beneath it lies the shadow of his upbringing and a storm of rumors. He's used to hiding his vulnerability deep inside.

As they spend day after day together, the line between them quietly breaks down.

His feelings take him by surprise. Covered in mud, Duan Jiaxu instinctively retreats and tries to hide.

"Sang Yan, don't come near me. I'll only drag you down."

But the boy born to shine refuses to let go.

With a determined look in his eyes, Sang Yan grabs the wrist he's trying to pull away:

"Whether I get dragged down is my decision, not yours."

They weather Jiang Ying's entanglements, public gossip, and obstacle after obstacle from their families.

From a summer-night barbecue stand in Nanwu to the warmly lit streets of Yihe.

Through every storm, he stands in front of him, shielding him from the world's every sharp edge.
