A fishing-village boy who has lost his home discovers that the sandbar where he grew up is actually the "Seventh Island," missing for three hundred years. The treasure island revered by the Six Kingdoms is really one of seven locks on a great prison built three hundred years ago. As the locks begin to loosen, he must decide: keep guarding a lie to preserve the peace, or tell the truth and make everyone face the abyss together.
