Liang Chuan, a night-shift train dispatcher, can see an anomalous train log twelve minutes before it happens. After the city changed, a nonexistent station began appearing on the subway lines every night at midnight. Anyone who enters must fill in a suppressed accident, an unstaffed position, or a person omitted by the System. Fail, and a real station, along with everyone connected to it, will vanish completely from maps, records, and everyone’s memories. To find his sister, erased by the System, Liang Chuan joins a night rescue team with a maintenance worker, a transit police officer, and an emergency nurse. Together, they repeatedly ride into lines no one remembers. As more and more stations disappear, they discover that it all relates to a subway accident eighteen years ago. The dispatcher on duty that night was Liang Chuan’s long-deceased father. Now the entire city is being treated like a line that can be rewritten at will. Before everyone is “re-filed” by the System, Liang Chuan must bring back the people who vanished, one by one.
