The real author of this unique book "A Dream of Red Mansions" is Kangxi's grandson Hongxi, who is Zhi Yanzhai! This is a story that has not been acknowledged by the mainstream, but is very likely true. Although Zhi Yanzhai and Cao Xueqin were related, they were never close. Zhiyanzhai is the alias of Hongxi, the grandson of Emperor Kangxi and the son of Yinreng, the second deposed prince. In the sixth year of Yongzheng (1728), Cao Xueqin was detained to Beijing with his father Cao Fu, and Cao Fu was imprisoned.
