At midnight every day, a ruin from the future appears in reality.
The protagonist is responsible for recycling the ruins, but finds himself eighteen years later inside, as well as a work permit that says "Don't save me."
The story is not a time travel into the future, nor is it a future prediction.
All the ruins that come to reality come from a "future that has been abandoned by mankind." Every time a future relic is recycled, the technology, ability or cause and effect may be inherited; but the recycler may also cause that disaster to happen again in reality.
The protagonist must investigate the real cause of the ruins and find the "person responsible" for the disaster in order to safely extract its power.
