One Encounter in the Southern Frontier, a Lifetime of Regret

[Wooden woman vs. peacock man]

Qiao Youwan, daughter of the prefect of Nanchui, is beautiful, kindhearted, and stubborn.

Sheng Linyue, Prince of Qin in the Dayu dynasty, is decisive and stern, with no sense of fun. While traveling south to investigate a case, he is badly wounded and rescued by Qiao Youwan. He falls in love with her at first sight and launches into a series of peacock-like displays, creating a striking contrast with his usual demeanor.

Qiao Youwan and Sheng Linyue's daily life is all about him begging for her affection.

“Miss Qiao, my stomach feels a little itchy. Could you scratch it for me?”

Say yes, say yes! I refuse to believe even this won't work. Once Qiao Qiao touches my abs, she'll never want to stop.

Qiao Youwan gave him a perfunctory scratch.

Her expression didn't change at all.

That can't be right. The storybooks all say no woman can resist a six-pack. Could Qiao Qiao be an exception?

Unwilling to give up, Sheng Linyue asked pitifully, “How does it feel?”

Qiao Youwan thought he was acting very strangely.

“It's nothing special.”

All she could feel were wounds and raised scars. How could that possibly feel good?

Nothing special!

Sheng Linyue's whole world came crashing down.

But their cozy daily life of farming and banter is only a facade. A case of illegal gold mining and royal secrets soon come to light. What storms will the two, who have secretly fallen for each other, face, and what ending awaits them?
