Reborn in 2013: The Boom of My Elementary School Years Begins

[Campus Life] [Everyday Life] [Reborn] [No System]

Reborn in 2013, Chen Chuan found himself sitting in a sixth-grade classroom once again.

His parents were still away working in another city. He lived with his grandfather and had only a phone, not even a computer.

The good news was that he still remembered the future.

The bad news was that even if an elementary school student knew what the world would be like more than a decade later, he still had to figure out how to get his first bit of capital.

So, on the second day after being reborn, he did something that would still make him feel a little guilty years later.

He stole 500 yuan from his grandfather's drawer.

A forty-twofold return.

The 500 turned into 21,000.

A computer, a little starting capital, and an era just beginning to turn the world upside down.

That year, Tiantian Kule was all the rage.

Honor of Kings had yet to appear.

Short videos had not yet swept the country.

And Bitcoin was nowhere near the crazy prices it would reach later.

He had no intention of dropping out early to become some kind of business prodigy.

He would attend class, take his exams, and play games with his classmates just as before.

Only, from time to time, he would write songs that had not yet been released, buy things nobody cared about yet, and get a half-step ahead of the waves of change he had once watched pass him by.

This time, he wanted to make money.

And get good grades.

He wanted to reconnect with the people he had lost touch with.

More than anything, he wanted to live that seemingly ordinary boyhood all over again, and do it right this time.
