Uncle Nine: You Asked Me to Make Paper Figures, So I Summoned the Black and White Impermanence

Gu Xuan transmigrated into a world of zombies and was taken in by Uncle Jiu at the charity cemetery. He cultivated for over a decade, but his talent was mediocre. His fists and kicks were nothing special, and neither were his talismans. The one thing he excelled at was his family's traditional art of paper effigies. The paper figures and horses he made looked astonishingly lifelike. Qiu Sheng and Wen Cai once thought their senior brother's greatest achievement in life would probably be making their master a three-courtyard paper mansion after Uncle Jiu passed away. That was until the night Old Master Ren burst out of his coffin and turned into a zombie. [Paper Effigy System awakened!] [Slay evil spirits to earn incense!] [Spend incense, and anything the Host makes from paper can be brought to life with a spark!] And so, As he faced the fearsome Old Master Ren, Gu Xuan silently brought out the two paper figures he'd just finished. One had a white face. The other had a black face. Uncle Jiu's eye twitched. “Ah Xuan!” “I told you to make two paper figures to distract the zombie!” “Why did you write ‘May you meet wealth at every turn’ and ‘Peace throughout the land’ on their hats?!” Gu Xuan scratched his head. He lit the paper figures. The next moment, An icy wind howled! Soul-locking chains swept through the air! Two towering figures, each over three meters tall, slowly emerged from the flames! Old Master Ren had just opened his mouth when Clatter!!! The soul-locking chains wrapped around his neck and forced the vicious corpse to its knees! Qiu Sheng was dumbfounded. Wen Cai was stunned. The peachwood sword fell from Uncle Jiu's hand. “B-Black and White Impermanence?!” Gu Xuan: “Master, let me explain.” Uncle Jiu looked at Old Master Ren kneeling obediently in the courtyard, then at the two Impermanence figures radiating overwhelming Yin energy. After a long silence, he said, “First, tell me this.” “Since when has our Maoshan sect had this kind of paper effigy art?”
