The Demon Empress Has a License to Practice

When Lin Su transmigrates into a trashy romance, the male lead is choking her and demanding to know why she pushed the sweet, innocent heroine into the water.

She's Chu Wang's cannon-fodder wife. In the original story, she's spoiled and jealous, and three years later she's cast aside, ruined, and dead. Chu Wang marries the innocent heroine, ascends the throne, and enjoys a charmed life.

After reading the script, Lin Su smiles.

Chu Wang is framed by political enemies and thrown in prison? She gathers her people and intercepts the evidence cart that very night. Chu Wang is pushed aside by his family and loses a position? She turns around and burns his enemy's granary. Chu Wang hesitates over evidence that his sworn brother betrayed him? She hands him a cup of tea. "Your Highness, would you rather die by the blade, or become the King of Hell?"

She has copied out a set of "notes on the original plot." Whenever he has to make a choice, she checks the notes to see what happened in the original story, then does the opposite.

It takes Chu Wang only a year to go from gentle to ruthless, from restrained to completely unhinged. When the innocent heroine arrives, ready to save him with her tenderness, Lin Su gives him a dagger. "Next time someone tries to hurt you, just stab them." He takes the dagger and throws away the good-luck charm.

On the night he seizes the throne, Chu Wang dons the crown with blood covering his hands, then turns and embraces her, his voice hoarse. "Susu, my hands are drenched in blood. Would you still have me?"

Lin Su smiles and kisses him. "Your Majesty, that's more like it."

The ministers condemn her as a woman who brings ruin to the country. Only she knows she raised this calamity herself.

And guess what the mad tyrant calls her behind closed doors?

"Master."
