[Transmigrate into a Book + Two Strong Leads + A Little Political Intrigue + Love at First Sight + Rival Suitors in a Shura Field]
A cannon fodder crown prince disguised as a man x an aloof, haughty tutor
Chu Yunci transmigrates into a male-oriented comeback novel and becomes a cannon fodder crown prince disguised as a man.
In the original story, she doesn't survive three chapters. She's torn apart by five horses and dies for good.
The System says: "Bring the male and female leads together for a happy ending. Complete the mission, and mountains of gold and silver are yours."
Chu Yunci slaps the table. "I'm in!"
But then
The male lead she rescued from the beast-fighting arena follows her around every day, and the look in his eyes grows stranger and stranger.
The female lead she saved from the vicious supporting character stuffs her medicine pouch with tonics, then asks, "Your Highness, what do you think of me?"
And then there's Shen Junyan, the cool, chaste tutor who stays away from women. Again and again, he breaks his vows, kissing and caressing her passionately in his dreams. Every day, he cradles the embroidered shoe she lost, gazes at the moon and murmurs her name, then weeps and begs her not to leave and to indulge him.
Until one day, Shen Junyan corners her against a wall.
"I reflect on myself every night."
"I thought I was defying all moral principles, obsessed with men, in love with my sovereign, sullying my lifelong purity and ruining my noble bearing."
"I hated my own obsession, my lack of control, and how I broke my rules for you time and time again, losing myself without restraint."
He had already prepared himself to become a man who loved another man.
"But now... Your Highness tells me you're a woman."
"Your Highness has been deceiving everyone. How should you be punished?"
Chu Yunci: "It's not a crime punishable by death. After all, once a teacher, a father for life."
Shen Junyan bends down and leans close to her ear:
"Now that Your Highness has taken off your men's clothes, why not take on another role and become my wife?"
