After the Ice Queen Was Taken by Force, He Became Hooked

Shen Tangtang brought a man home as her live-in son-in-law.

He would cook and wait for her to come home. As she watched him work, she began to wonder if she was becoming more and more unable to live without him.

The man often lifted his shirt to wipe away sweat while working, seemingly going out of his way to show off his abs.

Shen Tangtang thought to herself: So this is what it feels like to live an improper life with a proper man.

Just as she thought their life together would go smoothly, she discovered during a trip into town that the man was a wanted criminal.

The bounty was a full hundred taels of gold!

She immediately decided to uphold justice, turn him in, and run off with the money.

Five years later.

Shen Tangtang was now the mother of two children, while the man had become the heir to a marquis’s estate, with a princess for a mother.

When their eyes met, Shen Tangtang dropped to her knees and admitted her fault.

Shen Tangtang: “I was wrong. I shouldn’t have handed you over to the authorities for the money back then, and I shouldn’t have taken the money and left without a word...”

Gu Rong: “I was wrong too.”

Shen Tangtang: ?

Gu Rong continued, “I was wrong to worry about you every day and wait for you until dawn every night.”

Shen Tangtang: Huh?

How did the story of Qin Xianglian traveling a thousand miles to find her husband turn into a husband lambasting Pan Jinlian?

Did someone change the script? Why didn’t anybody tell her?

Thinking of all the questionable men hanging around Shen Tangtang, Gu Rong suppressed his murderous impulse. “If you cut ties with them right now, I’ll let bygones be bygones. Otherwise, I’ll bring the children and come to your door myself.”

Shen Tangtang thought to herself: Has this turned into the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl now?

What on earth is this scene supposed to be?
