[Post-Apocalypse] [Farming] [Healing Ensemble Cast] [Building Up the Whole Village] [Lighthearted Power Fantasy]
While survivors outside are fighting to the death over half a biscuit, the older folks of Qingshan Village have already achieved unlimited access to candy beans.
Yang Hao quit her job and returned to the village to look after the two-and-a-half-story house her grandparents left behind. She only wanted a few quiet days, but the apocalypse arrived hot on her heels.
Outside, zombies roamed and order collapsed. A single crystal core could make people see red and reach for a knife.
But with Yang Hao leading the way, Qingshan Village, surrounded by mountains on three sides, found a different path.
Mutated vegetables baring their teeth and claws? Give them a good smack, bury them back in the soil, and let them keep growing.
Earth powers loosen the soil, water powers irrigate the garden, and fire powers handle the cooking. They put every ability to work tending the crops.
Crystal cores carved out of vegetables are washed and tossed into a bowl. The older folks snack on them, growing stronger with every bite.
While everyone else in the apocalypse survives by chewing bark, Qingshan Village enjoys a feast of mutated dishes at every meal. The villagers quietly grow healthier and stronger by the day.
And in everyone's eyes, Yang Hao remains that quiet little girl who lost her parents and needs a bit of looking after.
Until one day, they're forced to leave the mountains.
Only then do the outsiders with superpowers look on in horror and wonder: How can every one of these old folks carrying baskets of vegetables and shouldering hoes be so absurdly powerful?
