Shen Jia, a restorer of ancient books, meets Zhou Yubai, a surveying engineer, during a renovation project in the old city. One is divorced, the other widowed. Neither had any intention of loving again, but among pages of old paper and inches of aging walls, they slowly find their way to each other.
