The Journal of a Pingjiang Prefecture Cloth Shop is set in a cloth shop in Pingjiang Prefecture and tells the story of a business venture full of twists and turns. The shop suddenly receives a major order from the capital: it must produce one hundred bolts of brocade within a month. The deadline is tight and the task immense. A veteran employee falls ill, competitors watch and wait, raw materials run short, and torrential rain soaks the finished goods, among other crises. The female lead, Su Yao, stays calm under pressure. Using her intelligence and courage, she reorganizes the production process, allocates staff efficiently, and improves the tools. She also runs around seeking help and negotiates with suppliers. Under her leadership, everyone at the shop works together to overcome one challenge after another. They deliver on time and earn praise from the client, along with an extra reward, while the shop gains new opportunities for growth.
