The Taoist Descends the Mountain: I Take On the Entire Chinese Entertainment Industry

A young Taoist priest who sincerely practices the Dao loses his temple to a tourism development project. Penniless, he heads down the mountain to make a living, only to stumble into an outdoor livestream variety show pairing celebrities with ordinary people. With his refreshingly unusual Taoist worldview and formidable occult skills, the protagonist takes on arrogant celebrities, a crooked production crew, fame-chasing influencers, and scheming financiers. His livestream is packed with memorable one-liners, and the comments go from “Where did this charlatan come from?” to “Master, I was wrong!” Hilarious moments keep coming.
