A hundred years have passed since sand rot disease broke out.
A third of Blue Star’s population has been infected by the sand-rot factor. Anyone with an SD value above 70% is to be killed on sight.
Chen Zhu’s SD value is 29%.
Expelled by Xijiang University of Martial Arts, he fights underground matches, where they call him the Sand Devil.
His right arm is completely covered in patterns of petrifying sand, but no one knows that the first segment of his spine hides a clear spring.
Wherever its water flows, the sand rot disappears.
He knocks out Baldy Qiang and sends the nineteenth-ranked fighter on the Bronze Sparrow List flying.
His SD value surges to 40%, and the crowd starts shouting for the Sand Suppression Bureau to arrest him.
After he leaves the ring, the Foundation corners him, offering to treat his mother in exchange for studying him alive.
Then the Sand Suppression Bureau intercepts him. Shen Lian blocks the alley with a massive blade on his back, while the Sand Puppet Hunting Squad makes him an offer.
Both sides use his mother as leverage.
Chen Zhu has no choice. So he fights.
Thirty-three vertebrae, each one a space of its own.
When springs burst from my vertebrae, I will use my spine to suppress the sand rot.
